Chiropractic Services

Joint Manipulation

A Chiropractic adjustment is a manual “hands on” or instrumental technique. The purpose is to produce a gentle and controlled force, with the goal of structural/postural alignment to improve the body’s mobility and function, while also reducing pain.

Electric Muscle Stimulation

Electrical muscle stimulation is an electrical impulse or current that causes the muscle to tense and contract. The repetitive contraction aids in fatiguing and relaxing the muscle leading to decreased pain, inflammation and myospasms.

Rapid Reboot

Rapid Reboot is a lower extremity recovery system. Using pressurized compartments in the boots squeeze your legs, mobilizing fluids and speeding up your body’s natural process of filtering lactic acid, metabolites, and other debris that build up after exercise-induced trauma.

Intersegmental Traction

Intersegmental traction is a chiropractic therapy that’s purpose is to apply passive motion to the spinal joints. The table is commonly called a “roller table” and feels like a gentle rolling massage. Though, all you feel is pressure from the rollers, your body moves in an up and down fashion slowly, gently, and effectively allowing for the table to elongate the spinal ligaments, tendons, and muscles.

HawkGrips (IASTM)

Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), is an applied technique used by many to facilitate the release of myofascial adhesions, restrictions and the break down scar tissue. The practitioner will use the instruments to scan the effected area, finding restrictions or scar tissue and gently apply pressure to realign and break free the restricted area. Active Rehab

Rehabilitation that is specific for the patient’s activity level and related activities. Dr. Hoyt will guide the patient though their own personal rehabilitative program. The core principles of the corrective therapy will concentrate on increased joint mobility, balance and stability, muscle strengthening, and postural correction. These exercises will aid in prevention of new or reoccurring injuries.

Decompression Therapy

Spinal Decompression is a form of traction therapy, which acts as a longitudinal mechanical force applied to the body. The force allows separation of the joint surfaces, elongation of surrounding soft tissues, and reduction of pressure due to the compression.

Massage Chair

Massage is the art of kneading or rubbing the muscles and joints of the body especially to relieve tension or pain. More info at http://www.humantouch.com
